About Small Actions Greater Good

A Social Responsibility Movement

We Are…

A community of passionate Small Business Owners who want to make the world a better place through our businesses while also contributing to our business growth and profitability. We are… a Social Responsibility Movement.

We believe that every action, no matter how small, can contribute to the greater good of the world. That the power to truly make a difference does NOT belong only to large businesses and Corporations or Government Agencies.

Our Mission…

To provide education, resources, and training to make it easier for Small Business Owners to do more effective social good that benefits their business, makes them proud of their efforts, and inspires others

Our Values…

Open-Minded

We are dedicated to embracing and supporting each other in identifying our own unique ways to contribute to the greater good without judgment or preferences. Small Actions Greater Good is all about how each Small Business Owner and his/her business will contribute in his/her own amazing and unique way.

Education

We commit to never stop learning and growing. We will keep up-to-date with Social Responsibility options and related news and research and will adapt out Social Responsibility efforts to best support our businesses, employees, customers, communities, and world.

Contribution

We truly embrace the core concept of Social Responsibility – that all companies can find ways, or Small Actions, to contribute to making the world better. And any action, no matter the size, is better than no action.

Collective Power

We believe that while the actions in our individual Small Businesses may not FEEL like a huge contribution that we see and believe in the bigger picture. That we believe our contributions as a group really DO make a difference. That one plus one equals so much more than two. That a Social Responsibility Movement is needed.

Community

We are convinced that all endeavors, no matter how small, become bigger, better and stronger when shared with a community of like-minded individuals who encourage, support, and learn from each other.

“WHAT YOU DO MAKES A DIFFERENCE, AND YOU HAVE TO DECIDE WHAT KIND OF DIFFERENCE YOU WANT TO MAKE.” ~JANE GOODALL

About the Founder

(In Her Own Words)

Tanya Quinn, Founder of Small Actions Greater Good

I’ve always had an overwhelming need, a desire, to see the bigger picture – to know how my efforts and energy in life were contributing to something much bigger than me. For 20 years, across six very different companies (from small businesses to non-profits, corporations to my first start-up) and through multiple volunteer and board positions, I always needed to know how my efforts were making a difference.

But… no matter where I was working, what position I was in, or how much I volunteered, my efforts just weren’t “enough” and I was always looking for more.

In 2016, my husband and I were blessed with the most precious, beautiful baby girl that I have ever seen. In that one miraculous moment, my entire world shifted. What I thought was a simple personal desire to make a difference became an obsession. I took one look at her face and knew that I HAD to do more. I needed to find some way to make the world a better place just because she was in it. “No more excuses, girl!”

I left Corporate America to spend more time with our daughter and to reassess my future path. The Corporate Ladder just wasn’t important anymore. Two crazy but fabulous years later, after countless journal pages, inspirational brainstorming sessions with friends, gallons of coffee and wine, and two different Small Business ventures, I finally had an epiphany.

I realized that making a difference through actions of my own would never be enough. I wanted to make a difference on a grander scale – by inspiring thousands of others to embrace Social Responsibility for Small Business.

On a beautiful rainy morning, the concept of Small Actions Greater Good hit me like lightning. I had found MY way to make the world a better place.

I believe that every action, no matter how small, can contribute to the greater good of the world. Through education, resources, and speaking, my mission is to inspire like-minded Small Business Owners to embrace Social Responsibility and to create a Social Responsibility Movement that takes on a life of its own.

Will you join me in the social responsibility movement?
